Sync and Backup

FlowFerry provides multiple ways to sync and backup your data across devices.

Sync with iCloud

iCloud sync is available on Apple devices (iOS, iPadOS, macOS). When enabled, FlowFerry automatically backs up your entire article database to iCloud, allowing you to restore it on another Apple device.

  1. Go to Settings > Sync and Backup.
  2. Enable iCloud Sync.
  3. FlowFerry will automatically upload your database to iCloud.

To restore on a new device, simply enable iCloud Sync on that device and FlowFerry will download your data.

Sync with WebDAV

WebDAV sync works with any WebDAV-compatible server, including self-hosted NAS devices (e.g., Synology), Nutstore, and other WebDAV providers.

  1. Go to Settings > Sync and Backup.
  2. Select WebDAV.
  3. Enter your WebDAV server URL, username, and password.
  4. Tap Save to store your credentials.

Once configured, you can manually sync your data to the WebDAV server.

Export Articles

You can export individual articles as PDF, HTML, or Markdown files using the offline export feature.

  1. Open an article in the reader.
  2. Tap the share or export button.
  3. Choose your preferred format (PDF, HTML, or Markdown).
  4. Save the file to your device.
